CLASSES

All the festival teachers are fluent in English and/or French. Classes will be taught in one language or the other (or both!) depending upon the proficiency of the teachers. Although we strive to provide translation for unilingual class participants, we cannot guarantee that each and every notion will be translated in detail. We encourage those students who think they may have missed information to be proactive and ask for clarification. There will always be translators (and other class participants) on hand who will be more than happy to help.

There is a no-observation policy for all classes. Only people who have registered for a class will be permitted.

No filming during class is permitted without the express permission of the instructors.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Cancellations before May 8th: Full refund minus a $25 admin fee
Cancellations after May 8th: No refund (except in extenuating circumstances, ex. illness, death of a loved one, cancelled flights)

SINGLES: Waitlist & Refunds
We try our best to role-balance classes. The timeline of when we can confirm a spot is totally dependent upon how early dancers of the other role register. Those who are on waitlists should expect that they may not get confirmation of a spot until the very last minute. Should there be spots available in another class, we may contact you to give you the option to switch to that class instead.
Should you not get into the number of classes that you paid for, you will be eligible for a refund.

MILONGAS

FILMING IS NOT PERMITTED DURING THE PERFORMANCES

Our milongas are open to everyone and tickets can be bought in advance and at the door the day/night of the milonga. This format lends itself to a wonderfully inclusive atmosphere that is especially appealing to members of our local community, who may not be able to free up their schedules far in advance. It should be noted, however, that this makes it impossible for us to ensure that each milonga will be role-balanced.

ALCOHOL & FOOD
All the festival milongas will have bars that sell both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. (Cash and cards are accepted). Note that it is not permitted (nor is it legal) to bring your own drinks into the spaces. There may be light snacks provided at some of the milongas, however, no meals will be served.

MILONGA TICKET CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Cancellations before May 8th: full refund, minus a 10% admin fee
Cancellations after May 8th: No refund (except in extenuating circumstances, ex. illness, death of a loved one, cancelled flights)

Milonga tickets may be transferred, though you must inform us by email and provide the full name, email, and phone number of the person to whom the ticket will be transferred.

HEALTH PROTOCOLS

The health and safety of our community are of the utmost importance.
Participants should not attend if they are unwell, have a fever or present cold or flu symptoms. 
If you are ill, please contact us at bailongomontreal@gmail.com, your milonga tickets and class registrations will be refunded.

MASKS
Mask-wearing is still recommended in crowded spaces, however, it will not be mandatory during the festival. Masks will be available during classes and at the milongas for those who wish to use them.

VACCINATION STATUS
Proof of vaccination is no longer required in Canada.

VARIA

We are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.

We are not responsible for any injury incurred during the event, nor are we responsible for any illness contracted.

In the event that the festival must be wholly or partially cancelled due to acts of God - including but not limited to fire, flood, or natural disaster; strikes, civil unrest, or government restraints; unavailability of labour or facilities; or any other cause reasonably beyond our control - we reserve the right to credit current registrations to a later edition of the festival in lieu of refund.
