FAUSTO CARPINO

STEPHANIE FESNEAU & FAUSTO CARPINO

Dance partners since July 2011, Stephanie & Fausto have taught and performed in over 31 countries and 115 cities around the world. Brilliant dancers, their sparkly performances are the highlight of any event. Stephanie and Fausto believe that connection, musicality, and technique are the keys to fully appreciating the beauty of tango. Much loved by students of all levels, their lessons focus on moving comfortably within the embrace, emphasizing logical and organic movements.

Fausto Carpino started dancing at the age of six, spending twelve years studying ballroom dance, consistently earning top placements in Italian regional and national competitions. At sixteen, he was introduced to Argentine tango by his sister Barbara and her partner Claudio. The three of them then founded Paladanze, Siracusa’s first Argentine tango school, where Fausto became one of the main instructors. During a four year period, he partnered with Veronica Toumanova, and later briefly collaborated with Anna Solakius and Maria Filali before beginning his partnership with Stephanie.

From 2006 to 2012, Fausto was one of the organizers of the Syracuse International Tango Festival.
He is also a sought-after DJ and has been invited to play at major festivals and milongas throughout Europe, Russia, Turkey, and beyond.

Dance and theater have been a part of Stephanie Fesneau's life since childhood. At sixteen, she discovered tango through a friend, and from that moment, it gradually became an essential part of her life. She began teaching at Zlota Milonga, one of the most successful tango schools in Warsaw, where she worked until 2009. After returning to her hometown of Paris, she taught at Le Chantier, one of the city's oldest schools and milongas. In 2011, she moved to Florence, where she spent two years teaching at the ‘Pablo’ school. Stephanie collaborated with several different partners in Warsaw, Paris, and Florence before commencing her partnership with Fausto in 2011.

Well-loved by our local community, Fausto and Stephanie gave their first workshops at Tango Social Club in 2012, returning in 2016 as a featured couple at our Bailongo Festival that year. We are thrilled to welcome them back for the festival’s 10th anniversary!

He is also one of the founding members of the Tango Generations Show.
